Lauren Brereton
Physiotherapist
Lauren has extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of a wide variety of Musculoskeletal and Sports Injuries. Completing her Post Graduate Masters of Sports Physiotherapy she gained her titling as an APA Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist further enhancing her skill and knowledge.
Lauren enjoys treating all types of injuries and pain however has a particular interest in the assessment and treatment of complex or long standing issues or those limiting sport performance. Lauren also has a strong passion for Dance and Gymnastics after many years of dancing herself. Lauren is experienced in treating all types of adolescent athlete injuries and the impact of quality movement in physical activity, movement confidence and on going participation.
Lauren is a passionate Physiotherapist who believes everyone deserves to feel confident and capable in their bodies. She believes the body is an incredible tool that is adaptable and responsive. Through education, treatment and exercise she works hard to ensure that all her patients get back to doing what they love.
When not in the clinic Lauren works as a tutor in the Physiotherapy program at Monash University, where she enjoys guiding the next generation of clinicians to think broadly and creatively about their patient education, care and rehabilitation.
Best things about my job:
The variety of my day is fantastic. I get to meet a wide array of people from all works of life plus every patient and their injury is unique and requires understanding and problem solving to get the best outcome for them.
Where you’ll find me on a Sunday:
Heading somewhere new for a walk and coffee with my husband Mick and our dog Buddy (best dog ever).
